Hi, my name is Erica and I have always wanted to travel to Ireland and it just so happened to also be on my mom's (Bonnie) bucket list.  For her 60th birthday my brother (Mike) and I gifted her a Rick Steves Best of Ireland tour.  Also joining us on our adventure was Glenda, Mike's wife.  We had an amazing 14 days in Ireland.

The O'Grady side of my family moved to Canada from the south of Ireland.  Mom's side (Graham's and Gordon's) and Glenda's family (Fairley's) originated from the north of Ireland.  Touring the emerald isle and learning about its' history and trying to piece together our heritage was an experience I will never forget.

The entire trip exceeded my expectations.  I had visions of grey days, bland food and repetitive scenery.  I could not have been more wrong.

Ireland's scenery really has 40 shades of green.  Everyday was full of wonderful views, great people, good food, informative history lessons and enjoyable cultural experiences.

The best part of our tour was without a doubt, our guide Stephen.  I cannot say enough great things about him.  Ireland is best known for the people and Stephen represented his country on a daily basis.
